zuffenhaus C2 to '72 RSR project...
well, 911teo's IROC returned from the paintshop this week,so we are getting prepared to finish the build. - that being said, I thought you guys might enjoy seeing what we've been doing to avoid boredom in the interim...

what would something like that cost to have done? assuming one provided you with a C2? ballpark.

I'd be interested a project like this, as is seems like a neat way do the RSR thing... coilovers, 3.6, etc, all installed.
What kind of wheels are you running? The last 964 / RSR conversion I saw had odd looking front fuchs. I know the offset creates a few issues... Looking great, subscribed! |
Guys this project is UNREAL. I am not going to give up any of the details... but the powerplant planned for this baby is going to put mine to shame..
Honestly this is the dog's bollocks of the backdates. And it's a street car. You have seen how evil Keith and Aaron are and how they lure you into crazy stuff... Well I have seen this C2 in person... and all I could say is WOW. No expense spared. NONE. After seeing my car and this one next to one another I think this is the way to go! well, I have a C2 with lots of miles on her (new engine) and when Scruffy is done in the coming months I might be tempted to start a new project. Not sure if I want to go this way, but I'd like to learn more. This is similar to what those guys over in the UK are doing, no?

Like the oil door ala '72 and cannot wait to see the finished product.

Mayby this sort of thing will put a floor under the 964 prices. There's a lot to be said for starting w/ a 964 chassis compared to the older 911 chassis.

Consider one of the iPod-ready Alpine CD decks such as the CDA-9852 or CDA-9857. It connects to the iPod data port with a $30 cable (KCA-422i). You can put the iPod anywhere convenient, e.g. in the glove compartment. You control the iPod from the radio and have access to the important functions, e.g. album search, artist search, etc. The menus use the radio's front panel which is something of a pain, but it's far better than the alternatives I looked at and most importantly doesn't restrict you to only playing a few pre-defined play lists as do many of the alternative iPod interfaces.
