Biggest Wheels And Tires That Will Fit A 69 911/912
Well right now my 69 912 has the stock wheels with hubcaps on it and little skinny tires. I hate the way they look and would like to upgrade to a nicer wheel and maybe a little bigger tires.
I would like to go with 16" Tires and wheels. Would a 16x7" wheel fit the front and a 16x8 on the back, without rubbing? I doubt it would but I figured I would ask. I want the widest 15" or hopefully 16" tire I can fit under there without using spacers and without having any risk at all of rubbing. Could someone help me out here? If I absolutley had to i could use a small spacer but don't really want to. Give me some opinions and options here guys! Thanks, Dustin |

You will have to do some fender rolling and possibly run aggressive neg. camber settings to get 7" wheels to fit, but they will fit. AFAIK 8" will not fit your early nonflared car. A great street setup for the early car is 6x16 Fuchs, which are readily available at decent prices because they were used on the front of the 911 for many years. The selection of hi-perf tires is MUCH better for 16" wheels than for 15" too.
