993 HE's on a 3.2
I've got these coming soon.
Who can tell me what diameter heat tube/hose I'll need to connect the heat to a heat backdate setup? thanks, Phil

What do you hope to gain or just for looks?

Oh, you know, these cars are butt ugly so I thought I'd make the arse end under the bumper look really nice to compensate.
Other than that I just thought I could p!ss some good cash up against a wall (LOL!) Seriously Joe, I've researched this for a few months now and there is divided opinion about this setup v SSI's. I'm planning further tweaks like cams, heads/valves, TB bore in the not-too-distant future. It also gives headroom for a 3.6 further down the track if I decide with some gains in the meantime. A bit cheaper than SSI's and arguably better gains on the track, which is where I plan to do a lot more driving. So about my thread, do you know the ID tube for the heat?

The inlet O.D. is 2 7/8th's, so a 3" I.D. hose should work as a sleeve.
The outlet is oval. It's 2 1/4 o.d. by 2 7/8ths o.d.

I think I screwed up.
I bought some of this stuff from Aircraft Spruce in the 2.5" ID: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/appages/scat.php I saw this in athread for heat backdate somewhere. Tyson can this be made to work with some ss 2.5" od tube as an adaptor socket for the air in? What about the air out to the flapper boxes? Phil

That might fit over. Just depends how much it can stretch.
The stuff you have will work for the outlet, IIRC. But you'll need to adapt it down to go into the flaper valves.
