Custom EFI-What injectors

What psi and delivery rate injectors for a 2.7? For use with megasquirt probably.

I'm useing 30lb. per hour on my 3.0. I think the 3.2 Carrera OEM injectors are 24 or 26 lb. per hour.

I am using 3.2 injectors set @ 35psi on my twin-plugged 2.8 with TWM throttle bodies and Haltech.

Thanks guys, so what affect would boost have on this?

Lukesportsman 12-16-2006 07:35 PM

You would need to reference the "boost' pressure (manifold psi) to the fuel regulator. To keep fuel distribution correct it needs to elevate its pressure as the manifold pressure increases. You can do this at a 1:1 ratio using injector pulse width to keep A/F in line. You can also use a Vortech/Protomotive FMU to increase fuel pressure at some ratio to "boost" pressure. The latter often works well if your injectors are marginal in size.

Carrera injectors work well if going OEM Porsche or 951 if you want more head room. The 24psi are very common if your going high impedence Bosch type from the Mustang racers and are inexpensive. If its a Mag case...most seem to think 250hp is reasonable safety....24's should cover you, then.
