Help- Installing A Turbo Setup In A 911

Hi,

My son and I have a fun project going and we need help.

We are installing a 3.3L turbo and a 77 short bellhousing 930 transmission in a 76 911.

Question is- what do we do to make the stub axles work?

There are 930 hubs at the transmission end and 911 hubs at the wheels. The hubs have different bolt patterns.

In an exploded diagram, it looks like the 930 hub on the transmission can be removed and replaced with a 911 hub.

My son has done this on VW's and he says it looks like it would be easy to do.

The engine we are building will have 375-400 HP and I am concerned that the 911 stub axles will not stand up to the power.

Can anyone give us some suggestions?

Thanks.

Hello,
I noticed your thread and am making the same conversion.
I was wondering if you were able to adapt the different axles OK?
Would you let me know how this should be done?
Thank,
Don
