Missing link? What part is missing: center console?
I am "back-dating" my center console to its original configuration ('79 SC with automatic heat). Previous owner (poorly) installed a 993 center console. I have purchased an original console (the piece that mounts under the dash and surrounds the shifter. I also have the piece that covers the auto-heat controls (mounted between seats). What I can't seem to find is the piece that connects the two. This would be the piece(s) which resides underneath the e-brake handle and (sorta) covers the single heat/defroster lever.
Pics or P/N anyone? |

OK...I'll settle for a pic of the area between the heater controls and the shift boot.

Are you missing pieces? If so I think I have this available. I removed the auto heat system out of my '80 SC.

I have pretty much everything in the diagram (with the exception of 3a). I'm assuming there is another piece that mounts on the tunnel, under the e-brake handle, that connects the auto-heat assembly and the center console/shifter housing.
Perhaps there is no piece between the two...only carpet??? Once again, mine was converted to a 993 center console, so I really have no idea what belongs originally on a '79 SC. |

IIRC it's only carpet between the center console and auto heat housing.
