Mixing conventional oil with synthetic?
Hopefully this weekend I am installing a 3.0 into my 73. I've been using conventional oil with the 2.4, but the 3.0 has been using synthetic. I plan to contunue using synthetic. My oil lines are currently filled with conventional. Will this 'dilution' have any effects I should be worried about? Should I drain the oil cooler and lines?

Which synthetic? Most are a blend anyway. IMHO, it will be fine.

No, not a problem. Hell, several of the oil companies sell "blends". I think Milt is talking about the fact that several of the supposedly fully synth oils are high grade highly refined base dino oil with additives.

Mobil 1 has a good rep, although I've heard that it's not what it once was.
