Thanks. I especially like the vintage one w/ Ferry.

BTW if that doesn't clearly indicate how to pronounce Porsche, I don't know what does!

I do beleive that was indeed the voice of Jean Luc Picard, Capt. of the Starship Enterprise.

Number one.......engage.

That one gave me chills.

I love my car.

You guys do realize that was a commercial for a Boxster, don't you? Somebody spliced in factory 3.2 and Turbo footage. (..which was well done, but you can tell it's not factory original because the footage repeats.) I have the original on a DVD of Boxster promo stuff.

Doh!   I admit it.   I have been duped!

Come to think of it, it would be sort of odd to have Patrick Stewart narrate a Carrera commercial.   His popularity and the car don't sync from a time perspective.

Also the marketing is way off for the Carrera.   The target market at the time of the Carrera was Yuppies.   Yuppies don't drive minivans or station wagons and their first priority was themselves, not other "important but mundane" tasks.

I don't think I have ever seen an add for a 911 Carrera. Do any of them really exist, or was television air time just not a good buy for them considering how small the market for the 911 was. Consider that back in the 80's there was not a zillion channels on cable, and that media purchase would have been big $$$.

Maybe there were some promotional tapes made for dealer distribution.   Anyone?
