2 inch spacers from pelican
has anyone had any problems with the 2 inch spacers from pelican? i am worried about the stress they may put the wheel bearings. has anyone heard of the spacers breaking? are they used with the short or long stude? what is the best way to get my studs out?

Depending on which style you choose, you may not need to used new studs.
I have 2 inch spacers on the rear of my SC that use the existing studs. The spacer then has studs attached. Mine are from Boothe Designs. What size wheel are you attempting to bolt up?

Everything has it's risks, I would not use them on the track but road use should be fine. I believe some older turbo's have run spacers since they were sold that way from the dealer but I don't have all the details on that.

The ones that use the existing studs are spacer/adapters. Spacers alone require longer studs.
Spacers will not put any additional load on the bearings since the centerline of the wheel does not change with the deeper offset of the newer wheels that are normally fitted. |

i have the turbo body with 16x9's with 255-50-16 and 1 inch spacers. i need new tires and was going to go with 245-45-16. i was comparing my car to my brothers 930 turbo and his rims are closer to the outside fender lip. we both have the 1" spacer and same offset rims. the only reason we can come with why the difference is that the 930 has a wider rear suspension mounting point. if i go with the smaller tire it will not fill the fender well. i like the wider rubber the the profile is too tall, plus i am limited on tires.
