blaupunkt question

Sorry if this is a bit OT:

I was putting the Blaupunkt Monterey back in my 83 cab and noticed a cable coming out of the back. It looks like it could possibly be to connect a CD Changer to it? But the deck itself, I believe, does not have CD Changer controller capabilities. Can anyone clue me in on the purpose of this cable? Can post a pic later. Just thought they were common enough someone might know.

Thanks

A pic would help. But I think it is for a CD Changer.

EDIT: Here is the link to their manual downloads:

If it is the original SQR23, and its a round connector just below the speaker connectors, I believe it is a DIN pre-amp output. Is there an external amplifier in the system?

That was my next guess.

can anyone tell me where the factory mounted the pre-amp? in cabin, or in trunk (77)?
I'm doing a retro-fit of a Bamberg.

thanks

Not sure for a '77, but I think in other years, the amp was mounted beneath the passenger seat.
