under dash wiring question

Does anyone know what goes on term 56 with black/white wire on light switch? Also, is this yellow wire connection correct? It goes to the hi-lo beam stalk on the steering column. Does yellow female spade go to term 56? If so, where does yellow male space connector go? Oh, its for a 77 Targa.

Bob,

Take a look here:

Bosch Terminal Designations

From the list:

56 Headlamp
56a High beam, high-beam indicator lamp
56b Low beam
56d Headlamp-flasher contact

Yellow is the color of the low beam output on the hi/lo beam switch on the steering column.

Bob,

I just replaced my turn signal/high beam switch and had the same question regarding the yellow wire. My old wire bundle (88 Coupe) came out and had the yellow wire exiting the harness and connected, what seemed like, to itself and going back into the harness. That's the way I installed the new switch and haven't found anything that doesn't work yet.

the yellow wire is the auto-eject seat, be careful not to cross it
