Wild Idle swings
Sometimes, my idle swings wildly from about 1600-100. 83 SC, no vacuum leaks, tuned up etc.,.etc.,. any ideas?

My 84 Carrera Cab does the same thing. It only happens after I get off the freeway after consistent, 5th gear crusing. When I get to a stoplight, the idle goes up and down at the frequency of about once every 5 seconds. If I shut the engine off for 10 minutes, its ok again. Doesn't happen all the time, only once in a while.
