What do you think of this setup? I don;t want to cut up any stock pieces but I thought this setup may work pretty good. My goal is just to delete the engine blower.
My plan is to run the exchanger hoses to the "t" and be done with it. I will seal the square end of the "t" to the engine side plate with some foam. Opinions? ![]()

A small can of Tuna ans a decent clamp will suffice. If you really want to add some bling then paint the can and put a PORSCHE sticker on it

Riiiiiiight but you still need to connect the exchanger hoses to complete circuit, so to speak. I already did the tuna can and experienced higher engine temps. Backdating is not an option for me.

I was planning on just getting rid of the motor and screwing a bit of flat aluminium (sp) to the side of the tin junction box to cover the hole. I've taken the prop off the motor and lots of air flows past it.

That should work and is exactly what I had in mind. Where did you get that piece? I removed my heater stuff in the fall, and as of now I just have the one hose on the left to the left exchanger, and put a pice of hose curved around and facing the front on the right exchanger to force some air through the right exchanger (at least when moving). Thus far no overheating at all, so it seems to be working. I do like the idea of forced air through both exchangers. I presume that you will have the hose for the right exchanger going back over the fan and down to the right exchanger. I'm going to leave mine as is and make a chnge next summer if my temps show an increase during the hot months, and will leave it if it stays cool. I like the cleaner look without that extra hose going back over the fan and would prefer not to have that extra hose in the engine bay if I can get by without it.

I changed the plan today.
I found this rubber cap, cut a 2.25 section out for a plastic T fitting. This cap creates a very good seal around the pipe. It will work better, look better and I can keep all of my stock pieces intact. ![]()
