Garage
Phase II of garage done

Phase II is complete.
I love working in this garage!!!! I added some cabinets that Santa brought me for Christmas. I also painted the door the color of the race car. I cleaned some things up. Hung the the heater on the wall, etc. I hung a picture of my Great Grandpa Thompson in his #2 race car back from 1916 at the Iowa State fair.
Here are some pictures.... Enjoy.

EDIT: Phase I can be seen here. Phase 1 of new garage done :)

Phase III will consist of racing artwork/pictures/flags mounted (and hopefully a mid rise lift if she lets me )

Nice touches. Matching door. Good tool bins, retro picture of your grand dad.

Looks almost too clean to work in..... ;-)

Looks fantastic! Two questions:

What does that flooring cost per sq. ft.?

How are you going to keep the white, white? I'm afraid my leaks would ruin it.

Color me green. What's the story with the heater? How much does it throw off and where did you get it/cost?

Thanks guys. I was going to do a blue stripe all the way around but decided it looks cleaner without it.
I take care of Amgen

Flooring cost is $2.08 sq. foot. It is on sale at Costco right now until Jan 2nd. Everything just wipes up of the tile. It will not stain.

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Productgroup.aspx?Prodid=11038308&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&N=4008218&in_dim_search=1&cm_re=1-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search&No=2&Mo=2&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&Sp=S&search=flooring&topnav=&s=1

I wanted to add a stripper pole in the corner..... But I had a feeling I might get a black eye.. So I settled on mid rise lift...

You can wall mount it. It has a thermostat. It works very well in this garage (270 Sq feet with 10 foot ceilings). It was 38 outside (night), and 67 in my garage and the thing was not even at the full setting. It does take awhile for it to heat up the room. About 7 degrees and hour. So it is not fast unless you keep it on all the time (electric bill may be high). For instant heat (quick jobs in the garage) I have one of those radar dish looking heaters and point it at me.

Jeremy-
I bought that SS toolbox from Costco about 4 years ago. So probably the same one.
The cabinets are excellent... From Home Depot.... Powder coated doors. Made by Closetmaid "Maximum Load" series.

Awesome garage. That is a really cool idea of matching the door color with the car.

My one complaint though, you have to add another electrical outlet and get that power strip plugged in somewhere else. That is the first thing I see looking at the photos. Sorry it's just my career speaking for me. But still the garage is nice.

Good eyes. I have an Electrician coming for additional lighting and outlets. I did not like that either.

Fantastic! Looks like a place I could live in. Particularly nice touch with the window stile. Looks like it belongs in a classy castle.
