Strange Sound - Passenger Rear

I am a fairly new owner of a 1989 911 Cab with 47k miles and am trying to track down a strange sound that I just noticed. It is not a squeak but more of a single twang or creak. It is coming from the rear passenger side of the 911 - I get the impression that the source is from behind the passenger seat area or the passenger side of the engine compartment.

Interestingly, it only happens when I am going down a steep driveway in the parking structure I park in daily. I guess I did not notice it before because of the radio.

It occurs while I am making right turns heading out of the parking structure. Initially, I thought it was the cable to the top because of the twang sound. So I put the top up / down. That did not anything or cure the problem. I then rocked the front fender / rear end but that did not produce any sound. I looked under the rear passenger side and saw nothing obvious (to a lay person). I also checked the wheels and all appeared to be fine. The noise does not happen if I go up the steep incline only when coming down. Can it be something with the suspension / bushings. The PPI was clean. TIA

Check your engine lid fitment. Mine had this cracky squaky thing that drove me crazy and seemed to be coming from the same area you are describing. it just needed some oil and a tweak-

I know it's a long shot but i though mine was something far more complicated but it wasn't---- anyway, good luck-

Check the rear sway bar mounts. If the mount is completely broken it will clunk. May only squeak/groan if torn but not yet completely broken.

Oh...from the title, I thought it was about your passenger's digestive issues...

Also check misc. fasteners in engine compartment - engine tin, hose/cable stays/airbox, throttle cable, shock tower nuts, etc. Oil hinges, latch, throttle linkage. Sometimes it's hard to find the source of such a sound but you may eliminate it with a little routine maintenance. I'd like to think any decent PPI effort would discover a broken or damaged sway bar fitting, that would be one of the first things I'd look at once it was on the lift.

Regards,
