Anone know Thorshammer ( Erik Madsen)?

Anyone buy anything from him Parting/ Hi Performance 2.7 street motor and receive it yet?

He hasn't posted since December 16th and I have not heard from him since then either, I bought over $500.00 worth of parts from him at the beginning of November and haven't received anything yet. In December he posted that he had been away and his shipper and taken sick so that was why nothing had gone out. But now it appears he has disappeared and is ignoring emails and PM's as well.

Looks like this might be my first bad one on PP, just as I am getting ripped off on an e-bay deal that appears to have gone south as well.

I've met Erik a number of times in the past and would not expect any issues. He's always come across as the type of SCCA racer where you'd be able leave tools around and never worry.

Let me check around...

Have you tried to call him? A month is an awful long time but hopefully someone can track him down.

Hope this turns out ok...

I know Erik is a 914 SCCA racer. So is Chris Foley.
Chris runs CFR Welding / Tangerine racing. Contact Chris and maybe he can reach Erik for you or get you an update of what is going on. I know Chris has done a lot of work for Erik. Chris's contact information can be found at his website..... http://www.tangerineracing.com/

Erik's alive and well and Working Near Boston

I just heard via Chris that Erik is alive and well based on a conversation between Chris and Erik of a few minutes ago. Apparently Erik left his old job last year, and this new job has kept him busy. Unfortunately it also kept him from running any races and trying to improve on his Runoff's medal of 2005.

I'm sure that he'll turn up here soon.

Heard from Erik, apparently he shipped the parts, but had some issues with Canada Customs and just got them back.

Hopefully everything is sorted out now.

And just to repeat, shipping advise to Canada

For anyone who is shipping to Canada, use US Postal International, and get a tracking number. And you HAVE to go into the post office to ship as you need to fill in a Customs Declaration form. It doesn't have much on it, just the Shipper and Receiver info, as well as a description of the parts and the value., and in Canada at least, the origin of the parts (IE Germany in this case)

I sell stuff to people in the States all the time and have never had any problem as long as I did this. Using UPS or Fedex can be a whole other issue as they will often hold the shipper liable for customs charges if the receiving party doesn't pay them.

Thanks everyone for the help.

Glad it worked out. Hopefully the seller will learn to communicate a bit better in the future. Would have helped a lot I bet.
