2.7 Reabuilt?

Good Day
My project this winter is to have my 2.7 rebuilt. So I went to an expert in Montreal. He gave me a few options. Go with the RS spec, with carbs,or with the 3.0l intake. The other option sounds very nice, Go for the 2.8 RSR europeen P/C etc. But he mentioned that it would be a good idea to put electronic injection. Both the options are expensive. My other option is a swap for a 3.2.
Anybody's thougts are welcome.
Thanks Daniel

When I needed to replace my 2.7 a few years ago, the conlcusion I came to was that from an economic and power standpoint, the 3.2 can't be beat. Building a really cool 2.7 or 2.8 would be alot of fun, but if you want essentially the same power in a stock, factory engine the 3.2 can't be beat.

I loved my 2.7, but in order to get the power and torque I have now, it would have probably cost twice what I paid for my 3.2...

One data point...

I built 2.7RS/MFI engine and it's great, but it was expensive. I wanted an engine gave me more HP and was period correct for my 1973 911. If you want more HP/torque and don't have a preferred injection system, and you want good reliability at a reasonable cost, I'd recommend that you drop a 3.2 into your car. It will certainly put a big smile on your face whenever you drive it.

I'm w/Jim on this one.

A fun 1st class 2.7 completely rebuilt + induction & exhaust will probably be over $10,000US in parts and machining.

I too had that same dillema. It was mentioned to me to put a 3.0 in, then a 3.2. So, I decided to put in a 3.6. Way out your options and go where you want.
