Porsche Crest High Idle 3.2 Carrera

When my car gets to operating temp it idles at about 1100-1200 RPM. Is this normal. Owners manual said it should be around 800.
This is an '87 Carrera

Thanks

I had a flucuating idle and based on someone's suggestion I changed my O2 sensor. You can also try cleaning out the idle stabilization valve since that's a cheap and easy thing to try.

What Buck said - and clean your ICV and check your throttle cable adjustment to make sure it's enaging the "idle microswitch"
