Weber Carbs on 3.2 - Idle Jet Questions

Howdy Everyone,

I have a 3.2 in an offroad car and I am having a little trouble with one of the webers. The drivers side responds as it should however the passenger side does not.

When I dial in the idle adjustment screw the engine does not fall off or speed up as it should. So after some reading I was lead to the conclusion that the idle jet passage is blocked. I pulled out the Idle jet and the Mixture Adjustment Screw and squirted a little carb cleaner in. It came out the bottom (when squirting from the top) just as it should.

The engine idles fine however, I know its missing on that cylinder as I can pull the plug wire and the engine doesnt change. When I get on the gas (past the idle jet range???) it seems to come on strong. So when you drive it, its a little flat on the bottom but when it gets to 3000 - 4000 RPMs, it ROCKS!

What am I missing?

Thanks everyone.

Eric

did you blow are through the idle jet?

I'd remove the idle jet and do an excellent job cleaning it.

IMO.. a partially clogged jet will run very hot EGT under even partial load. If it was completely clogged that cylinder would be completely dead.
