Wiper doesn't return... what's the problem?

On my 1985 930 my windshield wipers work fine except when you shut them off they don't return to the original lower position. They just stop at whatever position they are at when I hit the switch. What would cause this?

I had the same problem, it was a bad contact at the switch. Try moving the switch back and forth a little when the wiper stops and see if it moves back to the stop position. If so u need new switch.
