Pedal cluster rebuild find - now what?
Got the pedals out and started cleaning up the area under them. The had been a previous brake fluid leak that had pretty much killed the paint in the area. Found this crack, cut, split really don't know what to call it. It was under some putty that came up with the cluster. Is this normal and if not what should I do about it?

Thats normal. There are a number of those in the floor, they are used by the factory to drain the body when it goes through a number of baths prior to painting

Yep, that's it. Prep it, prime it and paint it. A pretty good match out of the can is from NAPA. It's called GM low gloss black engine paint. Easy fix.
