Magneti Marelli distributor

Hi All!
I have a Magneti Marelli S112 BX distributor in pretty rough shape.

1) Is this worth restoring? If yes, can you direct me to a site where I could find some instructions.

2) I will have a more or less stock 2.2 911T engine to put it on. Should I use this or should I upgrade to something more modern? Any pointers?

Thanks for any input.

Thanks! Sorry to say I don't have the budget for 500+ restoration. On top I will have shipping back and forth plus tax and VAT. It will be a grand before I have it.

Anyone that knows the value as is or got instructions on how to restore.

All the best,
Jörgen

I just sold a mint one on *bay for $100, might look there (or here) for a better one. They are not worth much, have limited appeal and are hard to sell.

Thanks for your reply! Just to check my understanding, in your opinion you would go for:

a) a modern aftermarket unit
b) period correct Magneti Marelli
c) period correct Bosch

I'm not totally into originality as long as I get some better/equal performance/durability.
