Rear Targa Window
I have looked for a local glass shop to remove my rear Targa window so I can replace the seals. I am having no luck. After the shops tell me they will not cover the glass if it is broken in the process of removal or reinstall, I have to say why would I spend a couple hundred bucks when they can't even guarantee their work? I am considering doing the job myself. Any tips, things to look for? It would be of great help if someone who has done this can share some wisdom.

Stephanie-
There have been lots of posts on this topic in the past, even recently. Do a search to see the gory details. I haven't done this myself, so you should wait until the experts chime in. Many describe this as a very difficult job, but some have tips that appear to help significantly. The rear targa glass is very expensive, but the good news is that it is tempered and thus should be very difficult to break. The experience of many is that the local auto glass people have difficulty too unless they have some Porsche experience. I will be tackling the job later in the year, and I ain't looking forward to it.
