cleaning Fuchs prior to balancing

What is best for cleaning Fuchs prior to having them balanced so that the adhesive has the best chance of properly adhering to the wheel? I searched the board and found recommendations for using brake cleaner, but was a tad concerned about that and whether it would do anything to the anodizing.

Thanks.

I think you want any balancing weights on the inside of the wheel so as not to show. The tech should clean the area before applying the wt.

Right on! You'll be surprised how well soap and water works on the muck.
Careful with any spirits, the black paint spots easily.
