air flow
cone air filter or stock air box w/open cover? which is better, and is there really an increase in horsepower just by changing this?

It's unanamous!! You get an increase in exhaust note and zero to no increase in hp. Now if you put in the filter, add a chip designed for the exhaust system (which will need to be opened up, cat removed etc etc.) then you will see some improvement.
