996 interior - will it fit in an older 911?

Greetings - I just bought a complete interior from a 1999 996 turbo cabriolet - Beige (Butterscoth), Louis Vuitton custom interior. I want to know if anybody knows if it will git in my '83 911SC Cabriolet, with little modification.

If it won't fit, I'll sell it - any idea what it would be worth? It's a complete interior in excellent condition - as follows...

1. Two Front Power Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom 2-tone Seats (LV Stitched in the Headrests)

2. Full Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom 2-tone Dash

3. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom Gauge Cluster Cover

4. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom Passenger Airbag Cover Door

5. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom Upper Windshield post trim

6. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom Side mirror inner trim (Right side)

7. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom Side mirror inner trim w/ pwr mirror control (Left side)

8. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom 2-tone Steering Wheel

9. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom Tan 3-Spoke Driver's Airbag

10. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom upper console Bezel

11. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom lower console Side covers (pr).

12. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom center console front Side covers (pr).

13. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom 2-tone Front Door Panels (Left and Right Sides)

14. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom 2-tone Rear Door Panels (Left and Right Sides)

15. Louis Vuitton LV Style Custom 2-tone Rear Seats (Left and Right Sides)

Thanks, Russ

Other than the seats (maybe with custom mounting and wiring) and maybe the non airbag steering wheel I doubt any will retrofit into an older car.

The seats will fit, that's it. The 996 is physically noticably larger than an SC.

I have a number in my head as to the value for all that 'stuff' but I don't think you would like to hear it.

Anyone else notice that Porsche seats (all made by Recaro) haven't changed much from the 1974 highback seats to the present day 997? That said, I bet you'd have to make custom brackets to mount 996 seats in an earlier 911, as the mounting points are probably different.

That's actually not bad, except for the "LV" on the headrests, IMO. Much better looking than I imagined when I read the original query.

Best,

Kurt

Not bad at all! Too bad it wasn't Savannah Beige, then I could get certain pieces.

The answer is that nothing will fit from a 996 to an SC, with the possible except of the seats.

The seats will not bolt in place of the SC seats, but with some modifications to the mounts, you should be able to get the seats to fit. It seems like a big chore to modify the seat mounts and sliders. As with anything, I am sure it could be done, but the question is whether the cost and effort to modify the mounts, electrical conections, etc. will be worth it.

The seats aren't made by Recaro anymore. I think they are made by Lear. Edit: Starting with the 996.
