Adjusting H4s
Give me a break. I did a search.
Can someone describe how to align H4's? Pelicans tech article covers the install but not the alignment. The two screws (one at 2 o'clock and the other at 7 o'clock obviously move the reflector. I'm just looking for a good how to. Don't want to blind anybody. If you do search for H4 you get no results because you can't search for words smaller the three letters ![]()

If I remember correctly the top screw (2 o'clock) adjusts vertical aim and bottom screw adjusts left/right.
I set my lights pretty much horizontally. I might blind oncoming traffic as I go through a bump but it's still not as bad as those non self-aligning HIDs on newer cars. It's easy to use a closed garage door with the car parked on the driveway and use the decos on the door to match left and right height.

2 o'clock screw is the vertical adjustment ...
7 o'clock screw is the horizontal adjustment ... If you have access to a level parking lot or driveway with a flat vertical wall or door to use as a reference point ... Park car 25 ' - 30' away from wall or door. Measure vertical distance to ground from center of lens 'H4' marker. Tape or chalk a horizontal line on the vertical reference surface at the same vertical height as the lamp lens center. Mark two vertical tick marks the same distance apart as the headlamp centers, and a third tick mark exactly in the center between the other two. Park car as close as possible with high beam patterns hitting the two outer tick marks, centered. Measure from the center tick mark to each headlamp center ... ideally, both distance measurements should be within one inch of each other. Switch to low beams for the adjustments. Quadrant 3 of each beam [lower left quadrant] pattern should be adjusted to shine entirely below the taped line, and the diverging line upwards and to the right in quadrant 1 [upper right quadrant] should begin crossing the taped line at the outer tick marks. Cartesian coordinate system Quadrants: 2, 1 3, 4

You might also consider placing a tape stripe down the center of the front windshield.... and also down the center of the rear window.... and view the car from behind so the two strips of tape coincide.
This would assure that ( not only) are your two light "targets" against the garage wall the proper distance apart....but that the two beams are centered longitidinally rather well , too .... along the true centerline of the car.... - Wil
