what the heck are these tubes for?
I am in the process of sorting out my '73 T. has been converted to carbs. these tubes come out of the center tunnel to the left of the left hand e-brake cable. when I blow in one the air comes out the other one. can anyone tell me what these are? thanks, Don.

They're likely the lines for emissions control fuel vapor recovery system; hoses ran from the engine forward through the tunnel to the charcoal cannister in the front trunk.

One could be for the brake vacuum booster.

Those are your fuel lines. Supply and return. When you blow in one does the air from the other smell like fuel? Where are your weber fuel lines? Interesting.

No, the first guy was correct. Those are for the evaporative emissions.
One connected to the engine shroud to force air into the charcoal cannister, and the other connected to the airbox so the engine would burn what the cannister had stored. The cannister stores the vapors given off by the fuel tank during rest. Those hoses evacuate it when the car is running. You might make sure that whatevevr was done to eliminate the cannister up front was done correctly, so that you don't end up with vapors in the trunk and cabin, (open) or end up sucking a vacuum on the tank during extending high rpm driving. (no vent)

That tunnel assembvly doesn't look like it's from a '73 or one of the tubes is mislabled - there is not a brake vacuum booster on a '73 hence no brake vaccum line running forward.
