Dash stripping?
Since my full leather dash on my `86 Targa is pretty warped, I was thinking of replacing it. Then I found out what that takes, and quickly got discouraged. However, somewhere I heard that under the leather is the standard dash which comes in cars without the full leather option. If that is true, can I just strip the leather off to reveal the underlying factory dash? I wouldn't mind having a standard vinyl dash if it meant I didn't have to take the window out! Any info would really help.

If you have a single large defroster vent, you can change the dash without removing the windshield. Let me know and I will email you the instructions.

If you could email me those instructions, would really appreciate it! However, there is that issue of cost as well. If I can strip the dash down to the vinyl with it looking ok (i.e. Stock), I would much rather do that than fork out $600++ for new leather!
