PPI / Inspection help in San Diego.

All – can you help!
I have a deposit on a gulf Blue 69 10 miles north of San Diego in Zip 92024.

The car does not currently have insurance and I am looking for a way to get a cursory inspection. I trust the seller completely but need to dot my I’s and cross my t’s!

Would anyone recommend a (very) local shop or be willing to take a look at the car today / tomorrow for a couple'o'hundred bucks and case of beer? No accountability expected just trying to calm my nerves!

Thanks
Sam

Black Forest is close to Encinitas and they are a very good shop to work with. Off the top of my head I can't think of any good shops that would be closer.

You can go to your insurance company and ask them if they will cover the car for 1 day. Also, if the car doesn't have a current registration tab, you can go to DMV and get a 1 day permit. That way, you can drive the car to see if it's what you want and also get it to a mechanic for a PPI

I live in Encinitas, 92024 zip. I may be able to take a look. I've got a full plate. How soon do you need it?

We are 25 miles north of San Diego. You can explore with Mirage International and Jae Lee, as well. He runs an excellent shop that is air-cooled focused.

I forgot to mention Mirage Intl. As DW SD said they are a good shop.

Thanks all, spoke to Jae - sounds like a great guy and is going to drive there and check it out for me. One step closer to getting out of this 964 C4 and back to a Porsche - Porsche

Man I love this site!
