So Cal Rally style roads

I'm looking to do more filming with my car on preferably a one way road similar to rally roads (not gravel or dirt/mud). I want the roads to be tight so the car will look fast on camera not just in reality. I know Decker Canyon is tight, any more that i should maybe check out. I want a road where there is very little traffic.

thanks

and yes Ill be safe and all that good stuff

While you are out on Decker- check out mulholland highway west off Decker, then Yerba Buena- that one REALLY tightens up also right off Mul hwy just west of Decker.

Mul hwy east of Kanan Dume going downhill = V twisty and steep.
Go further east past Las Virgenes and make a right on Stunt Road- the name says it all. When you get to the top- make the hard (120 degree) right onto Schueren (sp?) then when you get to Rambla Pacifica- right again to Piuma downhill- woo hoo!
Latigo canyon from pch or from Kanan Dume

all these can be very challenging and will reveal your car's shortcomings quickly. Careful as they are all in the double fine zone of the CHP. So a mid week early afternoon trip would probably be best

Down in Orange County. The back road from Cooks Corner to Santa Margarita has some tightness but is is beautiful with wider well striped roads and over hanging oak trees.

I've driven Stunt, Piuma, Schuren, Rambla, Topanga Highway, Tuna---all many times. These roads are too crowded for what i'm looking for. But thanks nonetheless.

Then you need to go up on Glendora Ridge Road. No one up there real early any day. All kinds of conditions, shady, bright, fast or tight.

You may have to go with a private road. I'm trying to think of who has a long dusty driveway along their property, but coming up blank.

I have seen those roads you seek! Only you would have to drive a little farther north then Decker and the likes. I have driven many hours during an afternoon with out another car for miles. I fear that those days will soon come to an end as LA creeps its way north.

Santiago Canyn Rd turns into El Toro. There's a T at Cook's Corner (big biker bar, fun place) go south at the T, it back roads to Rancho Santa Margarita. If this is for filming there are some pretty stretches it's not very long only about 6 miles but the road is lined with oak trees and white ranch style fences so it would be a nice back drop. If you're just looking for somewhere windy to drive fast there are plenty of places. Go up in the hills off the 15 towards Julian. 91 east to 55 south to Santiago Canyon east past Irvine lake left at big biker bar.

I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you. They're MINE!! And I don't like to share!!

Actually, you should take a trip up to Solvang VERY early in the morning. I'm sure Dave B could give you the "super secret special" roads, but even the obvious ones are pretty good up that way.

That is up in the SOCG (South Orange County Gruppe) neck of the woods. You should join us on the next SOCG run as we have driven these roads several times. Live Oak is quite fun.
