anyone parting a 75- 85 911 Targa, HELP!!!!
Hi All,
I know this is not the correct forum, but it may catch the eye of someone who has a car lying about for parts.... I am trying to locate a pair of the lock brackets located on header of a targa. Specifically for a Targa Hard top which came into the US in 1975. The pics below show you the part #25 in its glory! Someone may have bought a wreck for parts and may not actually know these locks are there, so if you are one of those people can you please have a look. Even if your car is near that age your car may have had one delivered as a special order with the locks I am looking for. I spoke to Porsche yesterday here in Leipzig Germany and as I was previously told they were not in stock and try again in 2 weeks, I am thinking they will never appear. They were supplied on all Porsche 911's delivered with the Hard Targa top. I am just hoping someone out there has one pair that they can sell me. Happy to pay cash, swap, or even donate my first born puppy! ![]() ![]()

Stupid question;
this part looks easy to reproduce; what material is it? I think somebody playing with a CNC or some scale model aces could do it easily? Or am I wrong...

I was about to post the very same comment, looking at mine (where that should be) and looking at the part seems like it could be made rather easily.

I hear you, but if someone has a pair and can post them out I would be a lot happier. Maybe if I had a pair I could get them perfectly reproduced here and donate them to porschaphiles.
I thought finding a hard top was going to be difficult, then one turned up, so it's worth trying the simple route here before going down the reproduction path.
