993 brake conversion/Banjo's necessary?

I am about to start on my 993 conversion on my SC. Do I need to use banjo fittings on the front 993 calipers? I couldn't find the thread that addressed this before. Can I use the banjo's from the earlier calipers that I have "in stock"?
Thanks,

i didnt use a banjo on mine. i went to napa and purchased several different lengths of threaded brake line and made mine. i think the fronts took a 8 or 10" piece and the rears were also the same. i just came out of the caliper and made a 90 around 1" out. i think i copied one of the other pics i had seen on here. i just made sure to run it up to the factory tab on the strut to secure it before adding the braided line....

Ditto what Brent said. No banjos necessary. Just a regular M10 x 1.0 fitting with bubble flare.

I didn't have to make mine. I used the 928 Stainless steel lines with Banjo bolt. The kit from ***************** has the lines and comes with banjo bolt (M10), and seal washers - all in one kit, nice. I didn't have the tabs on my struts (RSR).

That does look like a nice solution! Thanks for sharing the info. Not too pricey and makes for an easy bolt-on solution. Only downside I see is having to make sure some spare crush washers are on hand when doing brake work. But nothing an order to an industrial supply place couldn't solve........

Thanks!

John, go to Napa and buy 2-1' long M10x1.0 bubble flare lines for $4/ea. They bend up perfect.
