Problem with emerg. brake release button in 1984 Carrera
I have noticed a small issue with the brake release button in our 1984 Carrera. When trying to release the emergency brake it takes an extraordinary amount of effort to get the little button pushed in to release the handle. Has anyone ever had this issue and does anyone have an idea for a remedy? Not a big deal but it is getting harder to push it in and I don't want to get hung up somewhere with the brake stuck on. Thanks Glenn

Are you pulling up on the handle and then pushing the button?
I have to just pull up and the button goes in real easy. I don't know if I could push the button in without pulling up on the handle first.

Yep, pulling it up and pushing the button like I have for the last 25 years (LOL).

Just to complete this topic, I apparently solved the issue. I shot some DuPont Teflon dry wax down the space between the button and handle. It must be the original lube had dried out, now it works easy, like before.
