Need some confirmation on wheel spacers and wheel stud length

Just got a set of 20 mm spacers on ebay. Can someone confirm that my original wheel studs will be too short??? And I will need 63 mm studs???

Stock is too short, I am using 22mm spacers and went with the 66mm stud, so 63mm sounds about right.

Agreed. When I used the 20-something spacers on the rear of my '87, I had only a small amount of threads sticking out of the open lug nuts. This is with 72mm studs! So the original 45mm studs don't have nearly enough reach.

If you do the math, you'll agree. Stock 45mm stud minus 20mm spacer equals 25mm stud remaining. The wheel mounting hub swallows at least another inch (25mm) of stud, so that leaves no stud left to attach a lug nut to!

Stock is 45 mm.

20-21 mm spacer will require 66-67 mm stud.

See post by RoyB for added details.
