Tips on Carpet Fitting Needed

I finally got round to removing the sill sections (had to remove the seat support brackets as the carpet was fitted under them) and front map pockets - the last of the carpet removed that I intend to replace - i.e. from the B post forward.

Southbound have provided me with the carpet sections (black, and not perlon) and 500ml of glue.

Before I start, please give me your tips :-

- should I fully remove all traces of old glue, and if so, how ?

- should I strip and coat the floor and inner panels with POR ?
- should I glue around the carpet edges, or all over ?
- should I apply glue to the carpet and bodywork ?
- especially need advice or pictures on how to make the map pockets, as the carpet and pocket is just one big long section
- should I remove the old rear parcel shelf foam ?

- does anything cover this hole at the front centre ?

As always, thanks for your help, and hopefully this might help others in time.

I have posted base interior pictures on my photobucket.

Let me know if this all looks sound to you.

Ian
