I thing that if you buy the plastic intercooler, they throw in a set of clear plastic blinker covers.

I think you just answered your own question, J. You know, what I ought to do is advertise to buy (cheaply, of course)all those stock lenses that all of those rice-rocket owners remove to replace with the "cool" clear ones-then, in a few months or a year or so, when the fad dies down and people start realizing how stupid they look, I'll sell them back thier old lenses-for a profit, naturally. Of course, I'll be happy to buy the clear ones (cheaply), and sell them back to them when the fad comes around again. "There's a sucker born every minute...."

Funny people say the same thing about tails on non-turbos.

There were tails on non-turbos three years before there WERE any Turbos for sale in production form!!!

Not quite the same issue!

I just don't see the big deal, if the guy want to put clear lens on his car. A matter of personal taste. Whatever floats your boat.

Hey Clay, wasn't that a Dr. Seuss book? The star bellied sneatches and the plain bellied sneatches. Then that man came to town with the machine to put stars on the plain bellies then to remove them etc. etc. Rings a bell.

Owning and driving a Porsche is almost a privilege. If you want to spoil the heritage and pedigree of such an incredible marquee by rice-ing out your 911, you should have that privilege taken away!

I thought it was only legal to put clear lenses on FWD cars with coffee cans for mufflers.

Yeah, and after you put the clear lenses on, you will have to fight off all those supermodels right?

I'm not a fan but... A guy I deal with here in England sells them for the Euro cars. www.*****************
It's only like 30 cents a minute to call but they will probably answer emails. They are not cheap though. Like 70 pounds, almost $100 US dollars. I know cause I was there yesterday picking up some Euro rear bumpers and he tried to sell me some. It's ur dollar so I say do what ya want. Don't mean we have to like it and calling somebody a Jap is a pretty ****ty thing to say if you think about it.
Oh, unless of course you were refering to his handle, than I appologise and stand corrected

How many of us have painted our cars a different color from factory? Or how many of us have different Steering wheels, shift knobs, road wheels, floor mats, tails and/or flares?

Saying he is ruing the "Heritage " of Porsche is just bull. I doubt he thinks we are all driving stock 911's anyway, so why not just help the man, rather than criticize his methods of making his P-car special to him?

.....but they have no stars upon thars. Ha!

The "priviledge to own" 911 is one of the most modifiable cars on the planet. I must live in a vacuum, we don't have many "rice" cars here so I don't know what you guys are talking about! I do know that I have started seeing small sporty cars with wings on the back that look a whole lot like my GT2 unit. Am I a rice guy and don't know it? Tell me now, I can take it.

A few years ago, when I lived in Indy, I witnesses one of the funniest and disterbing things I've ever seen. We were are a hot rod cruize-in. A fellow with WAY more money than taste pulls up in a Countach bodied Fiero that had PURPLE NEON lights under it! My god that was funny. He immediately went home and took them off.

As for the clear lights, I've seen them advertised by AJ-USA for 993s. They may have them for earlier cars. By the way, I also have Euro lenses on my car. Is that OK? Do I need permission from the purist police? I promise not to put purple lights under my car.

Of course you can do anything you want to your car but it doesnt mean we have to talk to you. Try Performance, they have euro taillights available to help the police track you at night. Ferry and Butzi got most of this stuff right so why think abot changing it!!!!
