78-911 emissionsystem problems-help

found some small grains of charcol in eng. comp.found hose missing from char. cannister to engine. If I replace hose how do i know charcol is'nt going into engine. Is cannister bad? Any answers? thanks Jerry

I never connected my charcoal canaster to the inlet of the intake. I just plugged both ends.

I did the same as Steve. I just plugged both ends. (the canisters, that is)
