964 C2 buying opinion..

I'm a Norwegian guy looking for a 964 C2. I found this one on Ebay.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120085539486&sspagename=ADME:L:RTQ:US:1

The compression leak down showed from low 6% to a high 20%. This probably means a top end rebuild ??

Is it fairly priced at 18,5? or am i better of looking for another car?

Anyone know a good mechanic for a PPI in the Birmingham, Alabama area?

Thanks
Rune H.

If you can spare a week, Fly to LA, there are lots to look at there.

The car at freeman has rust, was hit in the back and has bad oil leaks. My dad was dealing on it on my behalf about 2 months ago. He bought another car from them for themselves. Their bottom line was $16k at the time.

or save some time and buy mine

I might go for a 993 C4S or a 930 Turbo in the near future since my house rebuild cost me less than expected......does that EVER happen? Apparently so

I bought mine in SF CA - it is a C4 1990 - and I am addressing the regular "issues" that will set you back quite a bit money wise

Will be more than happy to sort out a few for you in LA since I am going there in April for my grandma's 85'th

looks like a nice C2. worth checking out, imo. make sure the cylinders to head seals upgrade, dual dizzy vent kit, dual-mass flyhweel replacement have been done. get a ppi, though..you're a long way away.

To expensive. The price imported to Norway is going to be around 240.000NOK + shipping costs etc. so you are going to end up between 255.000-260.000NOK.

The leakdown issue is going to cost $ and you still qoing to have a high milage car (185.000KM).

You can buy my 1990 C2 wich has original sports seats, 993 big reds (front/rear), RS sway bars, 18" Turbo Cup wheels, Fabspeed exhaus, cat bypass etc.

I am located in Haugesund

Km = 155.000

The color is Forest Green Metallic (Deep/dark green metallic) which is a rare color on a 964 C2/C4.

Picture of the car:
