Alright....

Are these reusable? (Cylinders)
It appears these have chips near the mating surface. Are these really reusable?

I'd guess no, that chip looks like a chunk :-)
Those are alusil too, no?

The bores don't look like the right color and finish to be nikasil.
Regardless, I would never personally use a cylinder that had any cracked fins, even more so near and intersecting the sealing surface. Keep looking if you were considering aquiring this pair IMHO unless it's a really good deal and you want single spares.

Charles is the expert here, but I thought I'd throw in my .02 before you spend your .02.
I don't like the look of the outside either. See the sheen on the outside...this seems more a KS trait also. BUT if you blow up the photo it certainly does look to say MAHLE on the bottom of the lower left cylinder.

Those are Mahle 'LS' Alusil cylinders.
Both Kolbenschmidt and Mahle made Alusil 2.7 cylinders ... and the ferrocoat pistons that went with them! I have posted this fact previously, but most who post here don't have the factory service manuals and seem to doubt something they've never seen in person.
