RS America Polished Billet Handle and opener bezels

Bob at APPBIZ here, we just finished a new product and I wanted you Pelicanites to see it first. I got sick and tired of replacing the flimsy plastic bezels on my RS America Door Panels. We get them from Porsche and the constantly break and become unsnapped. To cure this problem we developed a set of Replacement handle and strap bezels. They are CNC machined from Aluminum Billet and polished. They are a fair amount heavier than the plastic ones, but stay in place and really dress up the door. They are ready to ship now and can be purchased through our Host (Pelican Parts) List Price $179.00 Pelican price: Polished finish: PEL-RSABB-P Black anodized finish: PEL-RSABB-B Clear anodized finish: PEL-RSABB-C Here is the link to the Pelican online catalog page. They will fit our 74-94 panels as well as our 65-73 offering and should fit any other RSA style panel. Attached are some pics I welcome your comments Bob bob@appbiz.com 310-539-6183 Last edited by appbiz; 01-18-2007 at 06:45 AM..

How about a flat black anodized finish? A little bright as they currently sit. Nice pieces.

Another vote for black. It would be nice to have those covers stay in place. What would need to be drilled to accept the screws?

I'll take 'em as is. Know why? Because the little black tabs have snapped away from both door handles, and slide around freely on the handle itself. Once, Tyson silconed the tabs down on the driver's side, and they stayed put until I had to open my door to fix my window. Now they flap as always. It's a beeyotch. Several times, I've drawn blood on my hand and fingers running them over the sharp steel base the tabs are supposed to cover. Once, while at TRE, my car was parked in a tight spot, and I had to sort of lower myself inside to the driver's seat. My knee hit that sharp base, and I bled enough to make Dave B. pale. So sure, I'll take them. Better that than driving around with a plasma bag to replenish what I lose from getting in and out of my car.

They look nice but I like mine as is. I spaced out the handles so the bezel snaps don't have so much preload. Mine have never moved since I snapped them on.

Thank you all for your comments, its groups like you that inspire and make products like this a reality. All the hardware needed is included with the kit. for those of you that don't have panels from my company Applied Business Concepts (APPBIZ) we have included (5) metric 5mm inserts (you need 4 but we send you a spare just in case you mash one) We also include a Insert setting tool plus (4) 5mm stainless steel screws. To install the handle bezels on panels from our competitors you merely open up the holes in the doors to accept the inserts, set them with the provided tool, drill the handle strap to 5mm and bolt them on. If you have our panels just bolt them on with the longer stainless steel screws we have provided. To install the opener strap bezel we provide Stainless theaded screws with reinforcing washers, they just bolt right on in place of the factory units. The factory uses a woodscrew into the plastic, we went ahead and threaded these. This will be the last set of bezels you ever purchase! Thanks again for your support and comments. Weight of RS America Billet Bezels

My digital gram scale shows 274 Grams for the six bezels As I recall thats just over 9 oz. Did not weigh the fasteners as you would already have them on your car. Bob bob@appbiz.com 310-539-6183
