3.2 Horsepower

What horsepower does a Carrera 3.2 make at the wheels and crank?

Thanks

Euro 231. US 207-217. At the crank I believe. I also believe better informed will correct me if I am wrong (I frequently am).

Welcome to the forum, BTW !!

People have tested for exact results on HP loss through the drive train. It hovers around 15%. A well tuned 3.6 can achieve 230 HP on a dyno. That's not net HP. To some researchers, Porsche understated actual HP ratings.

Here are some dynos from my 3.2. The first one is all stock.
More kudos for Steve W and dyno sheets

Here's the one after my chip was fine tuned.

Sweet! I'm nearing completion of my 3.2 as well and I can't wait for the start up day.

For comparison, here's my 3.4, in blue, compared to Ralph's 3.5, in red, compared to a bone stock 88 3.2 with a euro premuffler and stock chip, in green.
