"custom" cis wiring

I've been attempting to correct my 2k idle on the 912-6 this week before I head to the track. I was about to swap out the AAR when I found no voltage to it. Tracked this back to the 14 pin connector, then the socket on the other side. Found the lead to pin 10 not connected to anything.

Since my wiring is bastardized from the 912e, things are a little creative in the back. I've found a left over 12v switched lead I can connect to the pin 10. My question is, should I hook it up directly, or should I use one of the fuse blocks in the rear and put a fuse on this connection.

Thanks!
