Tennessee maintenance get-together

Well, I tried this once before with not much reponse. It has been a while and so I thought I would try again. I am in the west Tennessee area (Jackson), between Memphis and Nashville. I have a couple of first timer 101 projects I would like to tackle, but thought it might go smoother with moral support the first time. I have and 83 with stock motor/tranny. I would like to replace the shifter bushings, and also do a valve adjustment. I had another guy in Nashville that was also interested in the doing this before. What we need is a seasoned vet to make sure we do not do something stupid. Maybe I am making the whole thing too complicated. At any rate, be fun for the social aspect as well. We both were open to doing this anywhere within 200 miles of Nashville. Anyone else in the area be interested in participating, especially someone that has done the job before? If interested, please post best timeframe you would be available.

Thanks
