Accelerator pedal stop interfering with new floorboard
I've got major confusion going on....
I just bought a Rennline floorboard. After I installed it, I noticed the accelerator stop is now interfering with the board (see the two red arrows on the pic below). I'm trying to figure out the function of the pedal stop. Is it supposed to go in between the inverted "V" of the floorboard when at WOT? Or, are the "V" and the stop supposed to meet, and limit the travel? With the old rotted floorboard, the stop slips through the "V". But, the floorboard is in really bad shape, so I'm hesitant to use that as a guide. I've tried to adjust the pedal in different positions, but with no luck. Currently, it just barely rubs as it slips between the two edges of the "V", but enough that I'm concerned it will hold at WOT. Am I just suffering with aftermarket + aftermarket syndrome? I think when you mix accessories from different manufacturers, you might find some problems. To me, the piece marked by the arrow to the right should land squarely on the surface of the board. I'd either raise it up or do away with it.

You absolutely have to have a pedal stop. If you don't, you will break the bell crank. Not immediately, but eventually. I wonder if this piece was made with that understanding. Looks nice. Maybe just remove your pedal, and attach a cross piece to the stop, making it effectively wider, so it catches both sides of the V. You are right about not wanting it to get stuck in the V, though. HiSkip, Our floorboards are the exact same shape as the originals. As long as you have the correct board in your car the throttle stop should hit the board above the V cut out. That V is just clearence for the linkage. If you still have problems, e-mail me at sales@rennline.com and we will take care of you.
