				body shop in dallas

hey fellas....i need a recommendation for a good body shop in dallas near love field...zip code 75235.

Geico set up an appt with Friendly Chevrolet for me to get an estimate. Sounds like a dealership to me....but whatever. I also wanna get some other body stuff done to the car as well so maybe the estimate will be high enough to where i can take it to another place and get more work done for the money. the work under the claim is the hood and windshield. (don't ask i'm still pretty bitter about the beer can into the windshield) i'll take some pics before i get the work done and let you know how the estimate goes.... david |

Stuarts on Plano Road north of LBJ the reputation. Took wife's car there Monday for her annual wreck repair. Shop has a parking lot full of late model crashed Porsches.

![]() i think that might be a little far...im way down near love field (DAL). i guess I don't need the _best_ guys in dallas just cuz its only a windshield and a small ding repair on the hood, but i definitely would like a good honest job... |

Stuarts...absolutely recommended. They matched the color perfectly on my Guards Red '88 and fixed several tiny rocks chips perfectly. When I was there it was full of Italian cars, lot's of Ferrari's, Lambo's etc. most of which had been caught in a sudden hail storm we had.

Not near Love Field though, and not cheap but if Geico's paying that's not really an issue. Since this may be over the top call Jim and Dallas Euro Car for a recommendation. You can check whitepages.com for his number.

I'm going to go against the above in recommending Stuart's.

Stuart's was caught in an "untruth" lately by a buddy with a 928. There were a couple of other suspect issues with the estimate involved. I know they have a certain reputation in the area, but this one kind of opened some eyes. It makes me wonder if they are focusing on the high end dealers, or maybe they are starting to decline? Personally, I recommend Jack's Paint and Body in Carrollton. They did a fantastic job on my 911 four years ago, as well as a respray of my hood and my ducktail. I also have had my old G35 in for substantial repair on a couple of occasions. They're on most insurance approval lists, if that's needed.

Ed, Has Jacks done body work for you or just paint? I've got an almost invisible buckle in my left rear fender at the flair where my mom backed into me and Stuarts' estimate has them completely removing the fender which seems a little excessive, but I'm not the expert. I'd just like to get a second opinion.

Also, before I rolled my fender lips (which they did), I screwed up my LF front fender in a "hard" right hand turn. Jack is the owner, Mark is the foreman. Both are great guys, and quality conscious, IMO!
