AC for RHD drive 911 (1979 SC)

Hi guys,

broad question regarding AC parts for a 1979SC Right Hand Drive. The car has original factory AC.
I am looking at an all around upgrade of the evaporator / condenser / dryer / etc.

Would the upgraded evaporator and hose kits available at Rennaire /Griffiths / retro air work for a RHD? (the evaporator is under the passenger foot rest, there is no smugglers box, etc) Any one has experience ?

Is there anything I should be particularly careful about?

Any advice?

thks!

M

I have installed a griffiths duel system into myRHD 81SC.The hoses that connect to the evap unit are different as the location is as you say under the passenger foot board. I measured the hoses and they made custom new barrier hoses to suit. I found griff really helpful.

+ 1 on Charlie being helpful. I did his "Ice Man" project 8 years ago and he was so helpful... I thought he was considering moving in. Even now he's willing to help me! (What planet is this guy from?!?!?!)
