1983 cabriolet top seal replacement

I need to replace the seals on my top. It is an 83. The top is in OK shape, and I will probably wait til later this year to replace. My seals are toast basically. Luckily, they are enough to keep a basic rain out if I get caught in one. I need to replace the seals. I have searched the list and talked to at least one person on list that said the job is a royal pain. He said he got glue everywhere.

I am specifically talking about replacing the windshield frame to top seal, and all door window to top seals (both sides). I have not found a thread yet that really shows this procedure laid out (maybe it will be up to me). I would sure like to get the skinny on the job before possibly ruining the seals like one poor guy told me he did.

The other question is should I just wait til I replace the whole top? I am not sure if the top replacement would include seals or not. I am thinking it doesn't, but do not know for sure.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Hate to ruin a few hundred dollars worth of seals. And, if anyone has some of these seals that you never used and want to sell, let me know please.
