1973.5 T 2.4 CIS hard start
I have 1973.5 CIS 2.4L that is very hard to start....The car runs beautiful, but it takes 4-6 "starts" to get it to keep running...I have the center throttle lever replaced and it works good...I have been told it is the cold start valve, the Warm up regulator, fuel pressure, or fuel distributor...I don't feel it is the fuel distributor becasue that is fairly new......I am trying to get some ideas so I can diagnose/repair myself, and/or be informed when sending to a shop if I can find one in Southeast Michigan. Any advice appreciated.

I worked thru this about 3 years ago with my 73.5.
Make sure your microswitch is working (ck with an ohm meter)and that your lever is all the way and making contact with the switch. Otherwise, it's probably your cold start valve. These cost $400 several years ago and I've heard they are now hard to find and cost more yet. Due to the cost, check your fuel pressures and make sure this is the problem before replacing....
