What brand fogs are those? What else is under the front bumper?

If for no other reason I will continue to read this BBS because it's so damn entertaining. Plus, where else could you possibly hear debated the philosophical arguments supporting why you should paint or polish your Fuchs? I love it.

Have Fun;

I really didn't like the square foglights on such a curvy car. There are two Hella projector beam fogs mounted back in each hole in the valance. One on each side is modified to be a driving light.

The large driving lights are KC Slimlites mounted on a bar that goes back through the hole in the valance and mounts to the body behind it. Everything can be switched back to stock in less then an hour and then no one would ever know.

I really want to put the Yellowbird valance that has brake ducts on it and mount the Hella FF100 fogs back in the curved indentation of the duct holes.

I have had a couple people laugh at all the lights but people seem to like the immense quantity of light they throw out on a late night canyon run. :D
(Also melting the odd bus that pulls out in front of you has its satisfying points!)

The round lights look great. If possible, please post some close-ups of the Hella projector beam installs. How did you wire the units to be driving lights, ensuring enough power without overloading any circuits?

Having been on some dark roads, there never seems to be enough light, so I'm with you ....... as more is better.

That is too funny!!!! But the wheels aren't polished?

As has been well established in this thread already, Fuchs beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but, for what it's worth (since you've had so little support), I'm with you! I don't get it.

Now that's a pretty original, subtle and creative spin on the whole question, and very cool. I'm inspired.

The more traditional early Fuchs finish, but with more shine, accentuates the depth and internal shape of pedals against the wheel. Black on black loses depth and washes out the design differences in the wheel.
That's exactly why I prefer the retro polished look. After all these years, Fuchs are still beautiful wheels. The contrast between the polished petals and the matte black background looks just right to me.

Gotta love the polished wheel hatershttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1173541825.jpg

I added a panel in front of the stock fuse panel to carry the breakers and relays for the headlights and the extra lights. It is just a piece of aluminum that is bent in the same fashion as the stock fuse panel and bolts up to the fender the same too.

I ordered another foglight switch and mounted it in the blank hole next to the stock switch. I needed a switch for the big flame thrower lights so I purchased the stock headlight washer switch and modified it so it isn't a momentary switch then mounted it in the stock location in the dash. (Take it apart and it is obvious.)

I don't have a closeup of the mounting of the small projector beam lights but they are the easy ones. The Carrera valance has a flat plate extending back above the opening. The lights mounts were just put on the top and bolted up.

The big lights are 130W, the smaller projector driving lights are 100W, the projector fogs are 55W, and the headlights are Euro H4s with 80/100Ws in them.

BTW - DARISC, where are the pictures with the Centerlines and the Cragars?
We're waiting!!!

JMatta 03-10-2007 12:38 PM

Don, your car is very pretty. I truly appreciate the look you have achieved; so classic. Don't polish them...it will look like an Escalade.

nesslar 03-10-2007 01:24 PM

Yeah, Don, your car looks great!
I think polkished or not and that long nose is super.
